My name is Jack and I was born and raised in North County, San Diego.

I grew up surfing, shooting photos, camping, backpacking, and digging in to all of the natural beauty that surrounds us in this wonderful place. I'm passionate about living an authentic life, full of joy, meaning, and adventure, however that looks. My faith in Jesus is the central part of all that— it’s the ultimate adventure.

I certainly have my quirks and flaws and I believe that imperfection is a beautiful part of being a human. I currently work on the International eCommerce team at Vuori where I get to put my marketing hat on and nerd out on all things optimization. I love it; it’s a blast and also allows me to keep my photography as a special passion in my life.

All in all, I'm just thrilled to be here living and breathing another day.

What's been keeping you grounded?

I’m jammin’ in my new chapter at Vuori and I am simultaneously wrapping up a long term photo book project which I am very excited about. The plan is to release it next spring!

What are you into lately?

WHAT'S KEEPING ME GROUNDED


Community & creativity
A balance of community and solo creative time. Life is a whirlwind and having good people in your corner who lift you up, bear your burdens with you, and love you through all the good stuff and the tough stuff is so critical. At the same time, I am grounded and inspired by my solo time while shooting, writing, walking, and (especially at this time of year) observing all of the beautiful colors and textures around us. An early morning surf, a late afternoon walk, a road trip up the coast… these things fire me up.

WHAT IM ROCKIN'

Lately, I've been rocking my Courier Pants in Shipyard Canvas with a black Shop Tee. I have to force myself to switch it up and take those things off, they’re just too good.

WHAT I'M DRINKING


White wine
I’m a big old fashioned guy. But lately, during these warmer seasons, I find myself reaching for some crispy natural/white wine.

WHAT I'M UP TO, HEALTH-WISE


My morning routine has been really important for me. Waking up at 6, getting out either for a surf or a walk, reading my Bible, and getting a healthy breakfast in me makes a major difference. Regular strength and mobility training is also a big deal to me so I can keep on surfing and backpacking for the long haul!

WHAT I'M READING


The Bible
I’m particularly inspired by the gospel accounts of Jesus as well as the Apostle Paul’s writings in the New Testament. Beautiful, challenging, convicting, and life-giving. Highly recommend.

WHAT I'M INTO LATELY


Local's Summer
Local’s Summer in San Diego! The colors, the warmth, the weirdness of our weather as of late. I love it and wish it would stay a bit longer. I tend to kick into a more creative gear during these shoulder seasons. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is just go get a tea and drive down coast highway on a warm Saturday afternoon - what a sweet treat that is!
