KEEP READING BETWEEN THE LINES
KEEP READING BETWEEN THE LINES
As curated by

Alas, we weathered it, with freaking poise, I might add (no need to discuss details right now but let’s just say we were sharked and what happened to us would ruin most mega companies but when you are scrappy and you know your shit, you can bob and weave through anything, I am now completely sure of that). I am proud of little ol’ Imperf all days but especially in these present days and that folks is the gift that keeps on givin’ (insert cousin Eddie voice from Christmas Vacation).
If you have been keeping up with the Imperf flow lately, you know that over the last 6 months in particular, we’ve experienced a significant stock out situation.
Essentially, all of our core products have been unavailable/out of stock; a good problem but also a very bad problem because our supply chain basically face-planted at the end of last year. It’s the product of a few really bad decisions which we never would have made if we had a crystal ball that allowed us to look into the future (cough cough, EVERYTHING is all about the people, people!)
We share stories about the human experience and put a huge amount of love into them. Oh, and we’ll give you 15% off your next purchase.
I am proud of little ol’ Imperf all days but especially in these present days and that folks is the gift that keeps on givin’ (insert cousin Eddie voice from Christmas Vacation). You see there is such a beautiful, although very thin, silver lining in face-planting style failure - while it hurts (a lot), man does it send a clear message up to the CPU. So, in Mike fashion, I wrote a poem to explain myself and I dubbed it Read Between The Lines
WHAT I’M INTO LATELY
Everything, but mostly construction.
Getting the stuff out of my head that has been living in there for 6-9 months has been massively cathartic and wildly eye opening. Most recently, I got the building out of my head and made reality; can’t wait to show you all.
Mr. Lynch Creators Coat in Good Luck Fishbone
It does the work for you, you don’t have to think too much when you put it on. Dress it up and down at the same time. What does that mean? Throw on my favorite watch, my favorite snakeskin belt with a little James Dean on it. Then if we’re going to let things match, make the pops pop. Hit the turquoise in the Patina Buttons and the pops of green in the wool with a green and turquoise based top. Allow the coat to do the work and let the colors in the birthday nep burst.
It’s a full life.
Serene for fleeting moments
Mostly chaotic
Directionally sincere but no longer on the pitch I was trained to know
Securing a future by not thinking about the future
Alluding to greatness in my head
Will anyone ever know or am I just leading myself to the ledge
There is water glass everywhere
The ideas that were growing in my head are now physical
Accountability seems to be fleeting
Energy is thinning but we are also still winning
By holding our space and consistently reviewing our place
Not in line, but in time, not queueing, but reviewing
Wildly important to take stock of your sincerity
Can you lead with truth at all times no matter what the severity
I am doing too much but it all makes sense
Just keep going and don’t give a fuck what anyone else thinks
Reminder to you, you are succeeding
Because: It’s a full life.
