SO MUCH IS HAPPENING ALL AT ONCE IT SEEMS...
Johnny Swim
Since life has been chaotic lately, we’ve been really enjoying the liminal spaces of life, the in-between moments that we might normally fill with boring tasks or doomscrolling, we now look at as little opportunities to connect with ourselves and our people. It’s amazing how often the unplanned moments of life can be the most nourishing emotionally and spiritually when you let yourself be bored and present. Sometimes that means a quiet bath and sometimes that means a quick jump on the trampoline or a few minutes in the sun, but regardless of what it is, it’s the intention to the time that matters.
so much is happening all at once it seems...Which can be both overwhelming and exhilarating. Our new album, When the War is Over, is coming out February 7th and closely following the release is a US tour. We also have a few other creative projects brewing, so all of this on top of raising three kids means taking lots of deep breaths, having lots of grace for each other and ourselves, and bring grateful that our hands are so full with things we’ve dreamed of since we were kids.
We share stories about the human experience and put a huge amount of love into them. Oh, and we’ll give you 15% off your next purchase.
KIT OF THE WEEK
Shepherds Shirt in Garment Dyed Regenerative Canvas and the Courier Pant in Indigo Hickory Stripe. The OG’s.
What are you into lately? Saunas during the day, tea and a murder mystery tv show at night.
We both love to workout and move. Abner generally lifts and runs, and I (Amanda) like to mix it up between lifting, pilates, and good old outdoor walking. Because of travel we have to be flexible and plan ahead, but we find when we move our minds are sharper and we have more capacity for what the day holds for us. It’s been a long journey for us for the last few years, but we find that if we give ourselves the time and keep the habit, even if the workouts change or get harder or easier, if the habit is there it keeps you on the right track. Consistency over perfection in our house.
“Stress is the misuse of imagination.”
- We saw this on the internet somewhere and it’s really stuck with us.
