The early bird special

Curated by Mike Lynch

Founder, Artist, Craftsman, Underground poet

The never-ending search for newness is a topic I chase in circles and fear that I will continue to do for all the years of my life. I think it’s a built-in human trait at this point and probably a key element to our continued development and eventual failure and continued development and eventual failure and so on and so forth. Discovery is just an essential to this adventure we are all on, right?

It’s a dangerous one because it can take shape in many forms - material, mental, emotional, physical, relationally - and if you don’t know which one fuels your superhuman growth, you can get very very lost. All the while, if you become too good at knowing your renewal strategy and ‘what makes you tick,’ you can become too integrated and lose your identity to this one thing you’re so great at. The best part about dangerous or challenging things is that they are generally worth training for and continually improving your learning tactics around as we all know, these events can have the greatest output in our lives. That said, I’m a big believer that the sum of many little life features will create the strongest impact in the long run

Hear me out: take a small swing on your club every day and the bigger swings eventually become a lot easier and more fluid. Metaphorically speaking, this is nothing new but it’s still magical when you, personally, experience a fully flush connection because of your dedication to that one movement or feat that you are after. In other words, don’t overthink it but definitely create as much action as possible to create that forward movement; you never think about failure while you’re busy failing, you just end up getting further toward understanding how to hit the finish line in your best form.

What's been keeping you grounded?

So, let me chalk it all up to one play here before the chalkboard doesn’t make sense anymore.

A simple optimistic outlook about who you are is all you need to build a healthy life. One healthy decision always leads to another. For me, one of the healthiest decisions I’ve made in the past decade was creating the Shepherds Shirt - it’s an embodiment of who I am and a reminder of who I want to be. I can’t explain all of that to you right now but you’d have a good start in understanding where I’m coming from by re-reading this whole bit above! That said, let’s bring this home: this week is special, The Early Bird Special, in fact! We are letting everyone score at 30% off site-wide - this doesn’t happen, so I’d recommend taking advantage and doing it quickly because we are running low on Imperf Inventory with heavy lead times ahead on new gear. The whole goal of this sale is to celebrate forward movement and show love to our community during this season of giving thanks. We don’t discount Mr. Lynch or Hickory or Exodus or Shipyard, EVER so I can’t explain to you how big this is for us and I’m so personally stoked to share these savings with you, Fam.

Thanks for reading, major love, and happy little Friday!

Sláinte,

Mike
