On The Topic of Super Bloom

As curated by Michael Lynch

Founder, Artist, Craftsman, Underground Poet

Sometimes this gig feels impossible. Actually, a lot of the time this gig feels impossible. But I keep telling myself, anything worth having is always hard to get and this one is absolutely worth having - it’s my lifeblood-art-contribution. It’s that persistence, that attention to detail, the time it takes to water your seeds and experience your harvest - that is worth fighting for. I think that’s what makes beating the odds possible, in the end.

Every season, Spring rolls in and helps us spread our wings. The air is crisper, the waves bloom as hard as the flowers reaching for the sunshine. The days get longer and somehow, the grind feels a bit more possible. These moments remind me that this entire situation is happening right now, whether we like it or not, and if we choose to prepare for the Spring in the cold of Winter, we will probably have a front row seat to enjoying the super bloom. Metaphorically, here is an obvious reminder from Mother Nature to keep chasing the best version of yourself. Or maybe, it's just your sign to realize finding consistency in the ebbs and the flows takes practice and is very challenging but can unlock the perspective which probably creates Dalai Lama like freedom of mind. “Gunga-Galunga… gunga, gunga, galungaaa.” - Carl Spackler {Bill Murray in CaddyShack} In even further words, the existence of the ‘Self’ is as guaranteed as the permanence of the Seasons so we may as well learn to become great at being ourselves.

What's been keeping you grounded?

Anyway, that’s what this season is all about. We will be launching Super Bloom in 3 parts across the next 3 months. Part 1 happens on St. Pat’s Day this coming week, Part 2 comes on 4/15 and Part 3 comes in the middle of May. Good things come in threes so we figured we would share some goodness across a spring period to cruise you into the summer months in utilitarian style. I hope you dig it all as much as I do. This collection is exploratory across new fabrications and silhouettes and offers head to toe Kit for how we like to enjoy our sub-tropical Super Blooms here at home in San Diego. My hope is that it can be enjoyed around the World and serve quality purposes for its users. Slainte and see you on the other side, Fam.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Gunga Galunga. Gunga, gunga…. Galunga. Which means: But when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness. So I got that going for me.” - Bill Murray in Caddy shack
