Product Details

Every once in a while, Mike lets the louder side take over, for this reason, we've started a new label within the brand. Mr. Lynch by Imperfects will be comprised of very rare fabrics and unique silhouettes. Every drop will be One of a Kind and will never be produced again. The drops will be sporadic with no planning or seasonal timeline, they will come when the ideas do.

The first piece from the Mr. Lynch Collection is a simplified version of our original chore coat. Made from a heavyweight deadstock canvas, we've stonewashed this coat down for comfort without compromising durability. The widened main hand pockets allow for quick access while the internal chest pocket secures your important goods.

Born in the shaping bay, this piece was meant as a coverall - literally to cover up nicer clothing underneath so as to not ruin or dirty them - somewhere along the way, it was realized that the Creator’s Coat itself could be considered a nice piece of clothing as well. Mike Lynch started seriously shaping surfboards in 2012 and a few years later, he made up a few chore coats as coveralls for himself so he could quickly go from shaping bay to business meeting. After stumbling upon some deadstock waterproof canvas and vintage suiting buttons, Mike semi-mistakenly made one too many Creator’s Coats at a local sewing house. To get rid of the stock, he did the right thing and started having impromptu side-walk sales and he also asked his friends (with cool businesses) if he could give away free beer and sell coats in their parking lots. After a while, he’d kind of started a local following for the name, Imperfects. The Creator’s Coats were hardy and born of bi-prodct material for specific need in the shaping bay. Further tested by his craftsman pals who are woodworkers, metal smiths, and vintage mechanics, the coat was proven worthy of the hardest jobs and we stand by its ability to last in any condition. Buy it a size large to use it as a proper coverall or a winter layering piece, buy it in your normal size to rock it with a t-shirt. Chore Coats are the best and this one is damn good.

The First Chore Coat at Imperf, a classic rendition of a French Blue. Internal chest cache plus hidden pencil slide (on OG editions only, that is).

Classic cover-all shape but not too much room, you can still rock it with a t-shirt.

Patch pockets save the day. French style pointed cuffs with an Imperf touch.
